the etching looks like The Sloth's reaction to the new album.

i'm liking bolthole now after loads of listens. always singing the chorus. Pure O is my fave. and stalagmites.

Is your favourite bit the bit where he goes 'back to the bolthole'?

nah. my fave part of the album is where they sing ''Pure O'' and ''Come On i'll Be A No-One'' and of course not forgetting ''Glitters Like Gold''

Pure O is the best line out of the whole album

just noticed that Jaded Youth and Stalagmites have the same lyrics/music for part of the song.

2.20 on jaded youth and 4.03 in stalagmites

That's because they said they used the bridge from Jaded youth to go from Stalagmites to Like a Gift Giver. It works really well, much like the whole of the last four songs.

The album gets better with every listen, I notice new things everytime I hear it. Can't pick a favourite song, loving Uptight at the moment though.

I love how the last four songs seemlessly go together like a final epic to finish the album. Really enjoying Butterflies at the moment. Jaded Youth is still probably my favourite though.
Every time I attempt to make a decent signature I fail so this will do. FINE?!

finally listened enough to give an opinion:

It's awesome.

I could expand, but there's not much need. I do wish that Don't Believe in Me had been included though.

If anyone could tab out Don't Believe in Me I would be eternally grateful :)

Butterflies reminds me so much of The Cure, and that is not even slightly a bad thing.

Yesterday I finally received my CD bundle. I was amazed to receive with only a week of delay, considering I live in Argentina (we´ve been having serious issues regarding imports). Deep inside I was foolishly wishing that for mistake somebody had introduced a golden laminate in my box, but sadly that never happened but in exchange I got a very beautiful Cribs pin which got immediately attached to my guitar strap.

After listening to the music the whole "flowers, zombie-like appeareance and empty rooms" images made sense. This album is about melancholy, madness, heartbreak, silence and death. In the end there´s hope, friends and family, and apologies. The overall sound is very experimental, it´s interesting to notice the mix in Anna, a song which I had listened to before in a video on youtube, completely revisited. Is it me or the bass drum is pumping in your face all the time? I didn´t really expect this song would sound like this in the recording, surprises are good.

Queen´s influence is haunting like a ghost. The most obvious references are the "under pressure" part in Pure O and the drums parts in Stalagmite which are a mirror image of "Innuendo".

This isn´t like any of their previous albums, it´s not a regression to their teenage days, it´s the nostalgia you feel when you know you´ve grown older and got weirder. Unlike their previous albums you could choose one or two songs indistinctly because the album could be torn into pieces, again this isn´t the case. It has an overall sound that makes it feel compactly united. Some said Chi-town could have been taken out of the album: it may not have the same sonority, but it definitely had to be in here, it goes with the whole concept.

I love it.

definitely! Great review of the album couldn't have put that any better myself it sums it up really really well. I absolutely love the album can't see to turn it off I've pretty much listened to nothing else since I got it. Really really loving Pure O, Stalagmites, Confident Men and Uptight at the moment, however I lpve them all there's not one track that doesn't stand out as totally awesome to me!
