How bloody awesome was that. Absolutely love it after 2 listens on Zane and hearing it quite a bit on the Feb/March tour. Have it in my head already it's so catchy and perfectly poppy. Every track I've heard so far from this album is nothing but amazing I'm so so so excited for it the next 2 weeks had better go fast I can't cope with much more waiting . I feel like a child waiting for Christmas Day

I really really like it. I already know this album is gonna be my favourite thing ever.
Also, this is the song Gary starts singing at the start of Mens Needs on the Kasbah bootleg isn't it? completely different lyrics but i'm sure it is.

I love the fact that this is opening the album, and I can't even put my finger on why. I guess it just makes a refreshing change not to have something brash and loud as the first track. This is so beautiful though.

Why does it bother you that much? He's their just to play guitar. Its like going to see a solo artist and moaning that they've got a 'backing band'

They will have been logistical reasons why Dave wasn't in the US, they are a 3 piece- he just helps on some tracks at shows.

Surely they can do the uk tour with just 3 of them.

Ffs not this again Clare Like Emma I also don't get why this bothers you. Dave just plays guitar live, the band said themselves they ARE still a 3 piece so why keep banging on about it just give it a rest now eh.
Not a technical person with music but I'm guessing that the extra guitar gives the songs more depth to carry across a large room better with them playing larger venues in the UK/Europe? Wheras Amerca they played smaller ones so perhaps didn't need the extra guitar? I don't even know why I'm trying to justify this to you cos you're clearly never gonna accept it.
Also how can you say it sounds better with 1 guitar when you haven't seen the band live since Dave started playing with them?....Just saying.

what Emma said about solo acts/backing bands is spot on. Also I'm guessing Ryan having to try and play his and Johnny's parts (I read that somewhere) would be a right pain in the arse...

Solo artists are diff, they obviously got to have a backing band. But the cribs are now (so they say) a 3 piece. They managed big venues as 3 piece before. And they only need to change 1 album. I read they recorded the album with 2 guitars.
