what what?! I hadn't heard this before, I thought there were two other bands playing (someone mentioned but I forgot who).
I've checked their myspace and it says nothing about it, but their last US gig is tonight so it's possible...

I'm *notnotnot* getting my hopes up, but it's a longer gig than usual (9pm-2am five hours, rather than 7-11, four hours) so I guess there'd be time for another support band, unless 2am includes dancing afterwards.
I haven't heard either Surfer Blood or Yuck, but as usual with their support bands I've got high hopes.

Surfer Blood are alright. They sound a bit like a Shins/Pavement/Beach Boys hybrid to me

Yeah I'm sure i read in the Mailing List Email the support is Surfer Blood and Yuck . Yuck are really good live i enjoyed them when they supported Times New Viking back in March. I've not seen Surfer Blood live but i do rather like their album there is some cracking songs on it! so so so can't wait for this. been carving a Cribs gig for ages

No Los Camp last night so don't know wot Seetickets were on about but didn't matter as the lads were on top form.

Yuck were Ok, didn't realise they were some of the guys fom Cajun Dance Party, I thought Surfer Blood were good though. Cracking set from The Cribs, good crowd as well. I was a little disappointed that Hey Scenesters was the only song they played from The New Fellas, but they more than made up for that by playing Direction and To Jackson!! which were definitley the highlights of the gig.

Hope you had fun Albion Edd! How was the venue, and how was the crowd? Interesting that they only played one song from The New Fellas, maybe just giving some of the songs a rest as that record is five years old now, and fit in a few rarities like To Jackson (which I just realise is five years old too, and defeats the purpose of my point).

Anyway, hope you enjoyed it! Can't wait for Wichiten.

First time I've actually seen a gig at the corn exchange even though I live near Brighton, thought it was a decent venue despite the price of drinks (£4 for a can of Red Stripe  ) It was a good crowd, lots of jumping about although not much crowd surfing, but I think quite alot of people were there as part of the festival rather than to specifically see the cribs.
The only song I was surprised they didn't play was MIrror Kissers, I think they've played that everytime I've seen them apart from last night.

The Cribs were on top form. Overall the crowd was good, although I was at the front and a couple of people got on trouble early on. I think they were there as part of the festival and not just for the cribs.
