Haha same! I bought the NME for the first time in possibly years for this, kinda wished I hadn't now! It's all a bit depressing.

Although actually, opening the NME at random and seeing a photo of Balotelli was pretty good.

Damn. (But it's cool that people are moshing now, though next month they'll be doing the standing still. Hopefully I'll be proven wrong.)

Cheers for the scans.

Thanks for the scans, what an interesting read. Am I horrible if I ask if you (Levena) could scan the first page as well? Just to have things complete. Not sure if I'll find this issue.

It's like Pokemon, you gotta catch 'em all! (that was Pokemon, right?)

Thank you for scanning them, I really appreciate your effort :D

Good to know that Ryan's feeling better these days. It's a fucker of an illness and I can totally identify with the self-loathing feeling and like treatment isn't any use, but if that's the case then you need to change treatment, some work for some people and some don't. And there's no shame in talking about it, it's not sensationalising, it's raising awareness for something that still often has a stigma attached, and someone like Ryan talking about it can help change perceptions with people who may be totally ignorant.
However, I'm not him and I don't know what goes on in his head so it's no point me lecturing about it. I knew I'd go off on one if I mentioned it, but I do feel a bit strongly about it. I'm in ranting mode these days, apparently.

In more cheery news, did anyone else see that he's producing This Many Boyfriends' album? BRILLIANT!
I'd try and get a picture of B-Side Scenester's letter but I've only got my phone handy. I'll type it up if there's demand?

Oh aye, that was the other thing I was going to say. I was flicking through NME thinking, wait, this isn't as bad as I remember, then saw they gave Los Camp a fucking awful review and thought, nah, they are :P. I don't think the writing (on the longer features at least) is all that bad, it's just the bands they cover. jeez.

Just read the feature. All it's done is make me want to watch them live again, hear the album, and give Ryan a massive hug.
